Jesus Matheus is a graphic artist, painter, and sculptor. He has held solo exhibitions in Caracas, Havana, San Juan de Puerto Rico, Boston, New York, Miami, and most recently in Madrid (2022).

Currently he participates in the exhibitions: Color (“Color”), Cecilia de Torres LTD, NY and Antes de América (“Before America”), Juan March Foundation, Madrid.

Since 2005, he has been living and working in the city of Boston, USA.

I define my recent work as abstract representations, and again, the
geometry. From there, construction: all the arts will build, says the Architect.

In recent years, I have been building, I have discovered myself while building, I am a builder who adds and subtracts to form things and parts. Drawing, painting and sculpture: constructed paintings, flat painterly sculptures, - also referring to a graphic ascendancy that appears in a continuous totality of the materialization of the object, of the draftsman's sheet of paper or of the painter's canvas.

In the case of painting, a consciousness attached to the act, the intelligence of the process: reason and intuition, act and creative action.

Dependent on geometric abstraction, the basis of the future work."
