A November diary
Thomas Junghans
Created every day, throughout the month of November. As a spontaneous and personal expression of time, of fragments of a life, of fragments of a year spread over thirty days and made tangible as an object.
It is not a question of describing concrete experiences, of telling anecdotes, but of expressing what words are powerless to express. Mute witnesses who speak to us using wood and color.
To read and reread.
Dedicated to painting in the 1970s, Thomas Junghans' work has gradually evolved towards a three-dimensional practice. Sculpted from different noble or poor materials and always characterized by its portraits or “suites”, figuration and abstraction provoke a feeling of particular acuity charged with raw, poignant emotion.
